This selection outlines the financial liability and inspection requirements for dyno rental sessions.

Liability and Damage Terms

  • Operator Error: The renter is 100% responsible for the cost of repairing the dyno base to working condition if damage is caused by the operator.

  • Mechanical Failure: The renter is responsible for 65% of repair costs if damage to the dyno is caused by a vehicle part breaking or failing.

Mandatory Pre-Session Requirement

  • Inspection: Because of these liability terms, a thorough vehicle inspection is strictly required before any tuning or rental session begins.

Remote Tuning $260 minimum One Hour. $190 after the first hour

1. Dyno Rental for Remote Tuning

The shop lets you "rent" their specialized equipment so a mechanic who isn't physically there (a remote tuner) can adjust your car's computer over the internet.

What’s included: They will handle "strapping and unstrapping," which means they safely tie your car down to the machine so it doesn't move while testing.

2. Technical Support & Manual Labor

  • The rental price only covers the use of the machine and the basic setup. It does not include help with fixing or changing things on your car.

  • The Rule: If you ask the shop staff to help you turn a wrench, diagnose a problem, or give advice, you have to pay extra.

  • Example: While testing, you realize a hose is leaking. If you ask the shop mechanic to help you fix that leak, they will charge you for their time.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  3. Shop Rate Minimum

  • This is the "starting price" for any extra help. Even if a task only takes 10 minutes, they will charge you for one full hour of work.

  • Why they do this: It covers the cost of pulling a mechanic away from their other scheduled jobs.

  • Example: You ask the mechanic to help you swap out your spark plugs during the session. Even if it only takes him 15 minutes, your bill will show a charge for 1 hour of "Shop Rate" labor.
